Sunday, December 1st | 1:00pm-3:00pm | Porch Pot

Think beyond spring and summer! Container gardens are the perfect way to keep your home looking beautiful for the holidays and through the winter season. You will learn easy to follow planting and design tips to create a seasonal porch pot. Students will have the option to create the pot that fits your home and personal style:

Option 1: Traditional Textures

You’ll love the traditional textures of fresh evergreens such: as Cedar, White Pine, Fraser Fir, and Spruce. Then, add in your personal touch with berries, ribbon, and preserved dried goods.

Option 2: The Natural Approach

Take a more natural approach while using materials from local Rochester gardens. Red Twigged Dogwood, Curly Willow branches, Sedum, Goldenrod, Hydrangea, Grass, Allium, Iris pods and Norway Spruce cones provide a beautiful selection to choose from.

Please note: The evergreens will be fresh and may be seeping sap that can be sticky and get on your clothes so be sure to dress appropriately. Although not required consider bringing the following to enhance your class experience: a garden pruners and light weight garden gloves.

This class is appropriate for ages 16+.

This class will take place at Jamie's Greenhouse, located at 1965 Watson Hulburt Rd. Macedon, NY.
