Join us to make your own one-of- a-kind flower printed notebook! You'll be provided with homegrown and locally harvested flowers and make your own unique print onto cloth. Then, you'll learn how to turn your cloth into a book cover for your very own handmade, hardcover notebook!
About the teachers:
Sarah Gotowka is a practicing textile artist and instructor. She has been weaving since 2005, and has been growing natural dyes since 2010. Since moving to the Ithaca area she has taught workshops at Cornell University, Ithaca College, The Johnson Museum of Art, Wells College, New Roots Charter School, The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts, The Craftstitute, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and Trumansburg Middle School.
Laura Rowley is an educator and artist with a focus on book arts. She began her studies at Wells College and earned an MFA from the University of Alabama. She has taught courses at Wells, workshops with the Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Flower City Arts Center, public libraries, and Ithaca area public schools.
