Thursday, February 27th | 6:00pm-8:30pm | Rochester Regiments in the Civil War

Did you know that so-called "Rochester Regiments" fought in every major battle of the Civil War's Eastern Theater? From the opening shots at Bull Run, through the bloodiest day at Antietam, and to glory on the rocky slopes of Gettysburg, Rochester soldiers fought and died in some of the most pivotal moments of the war. But it is also the experiences of these men and boys away from the battlefield--in camp, on the march, at the hospital, in Southern prison camps, and upon finally returning home--that paint a more complete and honest portrait of the Civil War. Examining battle maps, memoirs, letters, government records and genealogical research, we'll trace the path of the Rochestarians who marched off to what would be the greatest--and for some the last--adventure of their lives.

Please note: Each ticket includes one happy hour drink, or a non-alcoholic drink, of your choice. Drinks and mingling will take place from 6:00pm-6:30pm, and the class itself will run from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Students will also receive 10% off dinner at Nox the day of class.
