Saturday, February 13th | 2:00pm-4:00pm | Kimekomi Valentine Heart

Kimekomi (pronounced key may koe me) is a technique where a pattern is drawn and then cut onto a surface, such as a soft wood or smooth foam.  Fabric is then placed over the pattern and tucked into the cuts.  Kimekomi is a doll making technique developed in Japan and the word "kimekomi" literally means “to tuck into a groove."  In this class, students will learn the basics for making a kimekomi heart ornament.

Please note: Although not required, if you have a small, sharp pair of scissors please bring them to class. Students will be contacted closer to class for their choice of fabrics.

This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

This class will take place indoors at Rochester Brainery located at 176 Anderson Ave. F109, Rochester, NY 14607.
