Join us for a hands-on textile lesson on Shibori techniques with indigo dyeing. “Shi-bori“ is a term from the Japanese culture to describe a way of dyeing fabric by “resist”. You'll learn to stitch, pole-bind and clamp in the first 30 minutes, with 90 minutes to produce two finished pieces with instruction for care.Please note: Each participant will have a choice of dying one cotton tote or one cotton napkin plus an additional small item you're welcome to bring that is 100% cotton or linen (pillowcase, t-shirt, scarf, table runner, etc.). Courtney Craig is a surface designer who enjoys the studio environment and creating custom textiles for interior spaces. Elements of vintage, contemporary, and traditional design are her favorites to explore.
