Monday, March 12th | 6:00pm-9:00pm | Shibori Workshop
Join us for a hands-on textile lesson on Shibori techniques with indigo dyeing. “Shi-bori“ is a term from the Japanese culture to describe a way of dyeing fabric by “resist”. You'll learn to stitch, pole-bind and clamp and then produce two finished pieces with instruction for care!Please note: Each participant will have a choice of dying one cotton tote or one cotton napkin plus an additional small item you're welcome to bring that is 100% cotton or linen (pillowcase, t-shirt, scarf, table runner, etc.). Students are advised to wear old clothing.

About the teacher:Courtney Craig is a surface designer who enjoys the studio environment and creating custom textiles for interior spaces. Elements of vintage, contemporary, and traditional design are her favorites to explore. Courtney is currently living in Rochester and being inspired every day by the local artisan community.
