Breathwork is a form of meditation, embodiment, and somatic self-healing that has been practiced since ancient times. Participants will be guided through a circular breath patterns against a backdrop of soothing music; a technique allows for the unwinding of body and mind, great for alleviating chronic mental and physical stress, anxiety, and pain. It is normal to experience a range of sensations and emotions during breathwork - this will be a safe space for whatever may arise.

Please note: It is not recommended to eat immediately before class time. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat and/or blanket with you to class. Students will be primarily seated and/or lying on mats/blankets on a cement floor during class. We ask that anyone with a sensitivity to smells let us know via our contact form prior to class, as there may be incense or other scent-producing items burned during class time.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Eli Harrigan is a certified breathwork practitioner who has studied with David Elliott in New Mexico and Jesse Torgerson in New York. As a photographer & video editor with an education in Western philosophy, it wasn’t until Eli discovered breathwork that he realized he had been living his life entirely inside his head, and that there was another, much more rewarding way of being. The work has been revolutionary in his personal and professional life, and he is passionate about sharing it with others.
