Come break down the songwriting process from the point of view of a musician. We will discuss popular compositional progression, strophic form, through-composed work, variation, and more. No matter what instrument you play or what style of music you write, this class will help you leave with a thorough understanding of the craft.

About the teacher:
Benjamin Sheridan is a local singer/songwriter who performs throughout the Rochester area and surrounding states both as a solo artist as well as a substitute musician for local bands, including Big Eyed Phish. Ben has been performing locally and writing his own music for 10+ years. In addition to performing, Ben is also an accomplished artist and teacher. He works at Spectrum Creative Arts, serving as both the chair of the Art Department as well as teaching art and music classes and lessons.
