Let's get back to basics - the basics of vodka and gin! Class will begin with a brief history of Black Button and the distillation process while enjoying their first refreshing summer cocktail, a Gin Mint Mojito. Next students will learn how to make a fresh berry syrup and finally, mix up a delicious (Logan)Berry Smash.

Please note: Participants must be 21+. Kits will be available for curbside pick-up at Black Button Distilling, located at 85 Railroad St, Rochester, NY, 14609, July 14th - 16th from 9am-3pm (call 585-730-4512 when you arrive). Already have the ingredients at home? Select the “no kit” option at checkout.

Kit Includes:
- 750 mL loganberry gin
- mason jar of sugar
- 1 lime and 1 lemon
- bundle of mint
- 12 oz. club soda
- 16 oz. sparkling lemonade
- Black Button shaker
- 2 Black Button rocks glasses
- recipe cards (Gin Mint Mojito & Berry Smash)

Materials Needed:
- 1 c. blueberries (frozen preferred; a different berry can be substituted if desired)
- saucepan and spoon
- measuring device or shot glass
- 2 c. boiling water
- mesh strainer (for blueberry syrup, otherwise you may get some seeds/skins!)
- ice for 2 cocktails

About the teacher:
Jessica Stetson just had her one-year anniversary as the Black Button Tasting Room Manager! She has lived in places like Colorado as an over night baker and most recently worked for a cruise line traveling all over the United States. Jess loves using her passion for food and beverage to bring fun and innovative ideas to the Black Button cocktail menu. Her favorite Black Button spirit is American Dry Gin shaken up in a Perfect Martini.
