Join us for a hands-on textile lesson on Shibori techniques with indigo dyeing. “Shi-bori“ is a term from the Japanese culture to describe a way of dyeing fabric by “resist”. You'll learn to stitch, pole-bind and clamp in the first 30 minutes, with 90 minutes to produce two finished pieces with instruction for care.
Please note: These classes will take place on-site at Roc Women's Fest at MLK Park, celebrating all of the diverse women-owned businesses our city has to offer. Entry into the festival is free and parking in the area is free on weekends as well. Please check-in for the class at the Rochester Brainery table.
