Join a former marketing agency executive and corporate marketing leader to learn and share ideas about how to promote your business. We will cover the basic principles of the 4Ps of Marketing and how they apply to your unique business. We will then discuss various ways to segment potential customers, develop customer delighters and build awareness and consideration among your potential customers. The discussion will center on how to pull together an impactful marketing plan whether you are selling online, at a retail location or out of your own home. We will cover approaches to email and social media. There is a real science to marketing and you need to harness that power to make your business successful.
Please note: The ticket price does include one happy hour glass of wine for those 21+. Anyone under the age of 21 can enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage. A happy half-hour will take place from 6:00pm-6:30pm and the class will run from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

About the teacher:
Margi Ochs holds a BA degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from University of Rochester. She teaches Lean Six Sigma courses at RIT and assists students to apply and implement their learning through consultations and workshops. She is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, trained at Xerox, and frequently speaks at conferences and events. Training is a real passion for her!
Barry Strauber is a 30+ year veteran of the advertising industry, working for agencies on the east and west coast. In Rochester, he worked at Partners + Napier for 12 years as Vice President of Agency/Creative Services. Barry is the founder and owner of Rising NY LLC, a branding and marketing agency, and a co-founder of Carlson Cowork, a 16,000 square foot co-working space. Barry is also a professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he teaches marketing. He’s also a member of the RIT College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Advisory Board where he looks for opportunities to integrate new technologies & marketing practices in order to expand student learning and success.
