Join us for a hands-on, how-to class for the art of making "Pysanky," or highly decorated Ukrainian Easter Eggs, using the traditional wax-resist (batik) method. Dyes, beeswax and a stylus are used to decorate the eggs with traditional Ukrainian designs. We'll be concentrating on the star division for our eggs, and you'll bring home a completed project along with a stand to display your work of art!Please note: This class is for ages 12 and up. All supplies will be provided. No previous artistic ability required - just a little bit of patience & a lot of enthusiasm!About the teacher:
Linda Bowers has been addicted to decorating eggs for over 25 years. Her passion has blossomed into her hand-crafted business Just Eggsquisite. Linda’s canvas has ranged in size from the tiny parakeet to the grand ostrich egg. Decorating techniques have included wax resist (pysanky), scratch, carving, acid etching, and jewel box creations.
