Terms & Conditions and Service

All Rochester Brainery class tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, illness, or personal emergencies.

Transfers
A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the class are not guaranteed.

Substitutions
If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to send someone in your place at no additional cost.

Cancellations by Brainery
In the rare event that Brainery must cancel a class, registrants will be offered either:

  • A transfer into a future class of equal value, or
  • A refund, as required by applicable New York State law.

It is your responsibility to know the date, time, location and any other pertinent information regarding your class. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to this policy at the time of sale.

Today we bring you Brain Music Episode 27, curated by Rebecca Kester, owner and operator of Daydream Cakes. Without further ado, here's Brain Music Episode 27.

Hi! My name is Rebecca Kester and at 25 years old I am proud to say I have owned my own specialty cake shop, Daydream Cakes for two years. Almost 8 years ago I created this dream of owning a cake shop. I have always loved to create, I started with painting and drawing in high school then transferred to cake and sculpting, but no matter what creative project I am working on I always have music playing in the background. Music keeps me going when I am tired, and pumps me up when I am excited about a cake or project. I have found myself dancing many times alone in my small cake studio, just me and my music.

I used to mainly listen to the oldies, sticking with what I heard my parents listening to growing up. My Boyfriend of 3 years, Sean Morgan, has changed that, definitely broadening my music spectrum. He is a musician, after his day job he comes home usually going right to playing his guitar or ukulele. He listens to just about all genres of music which means I was too. I now appreciate and enjoy all the variety there is out there from folk, rap, classical, rock, oldies, pop and even a bit of country.

My playlist I have created is a collection of a few of my favorites that always put me in a good mood while I am working, cooking, or painting. I love how a song can transform your whole mood in just a few minutes.
