Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason; within or outside of your control (i.e. illness, a work trip, etc.). We do not provide students with supplies from missed classes or offer credits for a future class.

A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date.

That said, your ticket doesn't need to go unused! Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place. Just have the attendees provide the name of the ticket purchaser at the door - easy!

There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support.

Nowhere, but also everywhere! Let us explain: While we had our own space from March 2013 to April 2023, we've gone space-less. Instead, we're partnering with venues all around Rochester, NY to host our monthly in-person classes.

Think of it this way: when you go to the theater or a concert, you need to purchase one ticket per person, regardless of their age. Same thing goes for our in-person classes.

Unless a class notes otherwise (a date night class, for example), we ask that you please purchase one ticket per person, no matter their age.

Yes! We do sell gift cards, and can gift a specific class and send it directly to the recipient at checkout.

Just look for the "Gift This Item" button on each class page. You can schedule a gift to send up to 60 days in advance, for all you early-holiday shoppers out there (we see you).

You are still be able to redeem a previously purchased gift card. To check your gift card balance or issue date, please reach out through our contact form.

Per NYS law, gift cards with less than $5 on them may be redeemed for cash (sent in the form of a check).

Rochester Brainery may cancel a class for extreme weather conditions, in the case of an emergency (teacher, venue, or otherwise), or if we have not reached the class minimum to run. Our class minimum to run varies from class to class, and teacher to teacher. While most often our class minimum to run is 6, it may vary between 1 and 18 students.

We love that students travel from all over to join our in-person classes! That said, class cancellations are based only on the weather in Rochester, NY (Monroe County). Since winter weather is standard in our area, we usually only cancel if local authorities recommend staying off the roads. If driving in snowy or icy conditions feels tricky, you might wait to buy your ticket—or if you’ve already booked, you can easily exchange your ticket up to 72 hours before class.
