Terms & Conditions and Service

All Brainery class tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, illness, or personal emergencies.

Brainery classes are ticketed, event-based experiences. As is standard across the event and workshop industry, instructors are compensated and venues are reserved based on tickets sold, not attendance. This policy allows us to fairly compensate our instructors, cover material costs, and pay our venue partners.

It is your responsibility to know the date, time, location and any other pertinent information regarding your class.

Transfers
A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the class are not guaranteed.

Substitutions
If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to send someone in your place at no additional cost.

Cancellations by Brainery
In the rare event that Brainery must cancel a class, registrants will be offered either:

  • A transfer into a future class of equal value, or
  • A refund, as required by applicable New York State law.

By purchasing a ticket, customers acknowledge and agree to this policy at the time of sale.

Brain Music Ep. 28: Kelly Metras

Brain Music Ep. 28: Kelly Metras

There's no doubt that finding the perfect playlist can motivate and inspire you. Whether it's finishing the last mile of your run, tackling that laundry you've been putting off, or getting you through your workday, tunes can change everything. So let's motivate and inspire each other, shall we?

This is Brain Music: a selection of songs curated monthly by different members of the Rochester community that we hope will inspire you the same way it inspires its curator.

Today we bring you Brain Music Episode 28, curated by Kelly Metras, owner of Salena's and Nox. Without further ado, here's Brain Music Episode 28.

Kelly Metras Intro Photo by Julia Merrell

I am all over the place when it comes to music. I literally load my favorites into my iPod and hit shuffle! For me, music is about how it makes me feel, how I want to feel, and how I felt when I first learned the song.

It is actually a lot like how I approach books. After seeing this list, you will not be surprised to learn that I am in the middle of 3-5 books at any given time. Currently, 4 :)

I essentially hit the shuffle I would most want to hear in recent days, while I frantically organize 4 children's birthdays and the holidays, while getting "caught up" at work (finishing the items I deem pressing haha).
