There's no doubt that finding the perfect playlist can motivate and inspire you. Whether it's finishing the last mile of your run, tackling that laundry you've been putting off, or getting you through your workday, tunes can change everything. So let's motivate and inspire each other, shall we?

This is Brain Music: a selection of songs curated monthly by different members of the Rochester community that we hope will inspire you the same way it inspires its curator. Today, we bring you a playlist curated by Creative Gardens owner, Jamie Snyder. Without further ado, here's Brain Music Episode 39:

Brain Music 39 - Jamie Snyder Introduction

Everyone that knows me knows that I can’t sing a tune to save my life (lol) but I LOVE listening to music and I love that it can set the pace for how I want my day to go. Music that is fast pace brings out excitement while more soothing music makes you calm. When I’m working on a project that needs creativity, I like to listen to softer, soothing music and when I just need to get stuff done, I listen to an upbeat tune. It’s not always about the words in a song, but may be a melody or instrument that strikes me or takes me back to a time in my life that was memorable or unforgettable.

Jamie Snyder

I’d rather listen to music than watch TV at any given time. I really like all genres of music and grew up listening mostly to rock n roll, country, oldies, and rap but as the years have passed, I’ve met people that have influenced my taste in music. Some of my playlist include chillaxing, party, game day, work out, and feel good titles.

Just like certain plants or flower colors bring out calmness or excitement in you and are therapeutic so is the choice of music you choose to listen to does the same thing. Enjoy!

— Jamie
