There's no doubt that finding the perfect playlist can motivate and inspire you. Whether it's finishing the last mile of your run, tackling that laundry you've been putting off, or getting you through your workday, tunes can change everything. So let's motivate and inspire each other, shall we?

This is Brain Music: a selection of songs curated monthly by different members of the Rochester community that we hope will inspire you the same way it inspires its curator.

Today we're bringing you something a little different - a playlist curated by the creative minds at Rochester Brainery! Halloween comes and goes so quickly, and has a soundtrack that we believe is grossly underrated. To get you in the Fall spirit, we’ve put together the perfect playlist to help you get ready for your favorite Fall outings, or just to jam to while you celebrate this spooky holiday. We’ve also listed some of the best local spots for pumpkin picking, getting the perfect ‘gram and where to find some quality, Halloween-themed entertainment. Without further ado, here's Brain Music Episode 25.

Episode 25 Introduction

Local Spots for Pumpkin Picking

Grab pumpkins off the vine and step back to a simpler time with your family at Stokoe Farms, located on South Rd. in Scottsville. Jump on a wagon ride, head down a slide and have a meal on the farm.

Wickham Farms is a fun place for families to spend an hour, an afternoon or all day! The Farm offers a corn maze, hayrides, a u-pick pumpkin patch, and u-pick apple orchard. Casual meals, frozen custard, cookies and fry-cakes available in the barn. Located on Fairport Nine Mile Road in Penfield.

Located on Quaker Rd. in Gasport, Becker Farms holds an annual family-friendly Pumpkin Fiesta in addition to regular pumpkin picking. The Fiesta is every Saturday and Sunday through the end of October and offers free live music and general admission to the farm, and food tastings.

Rated Rochesters #1 hayride in 2016, Powers Farm Market is a family owned farm market with food, drink, pumpkin picking and extended hayride hours until Halloween. Check them out on Marsh Rd. in Pittsford.

Instagram-Worthy Halloween Hangouts

Open all year, Schutt’s Apple Mill grows apples, cherries, raspberries, strawberries and cherries for your eating. This Fall, drop by their hard cider tasting room and take a photo of your favorite flight, capture the perfect bite of one of their award-winning fry-cakes, or pose on their cozy farm porch.

Instagram-able year-round, the overlook at Cobbs Hill Reservoir becomes especially breath-taking in Fall. Take a photo of the changing leaves and Rochester’s beautiful skyline in one shot.

Take a walk down the Erie Canal in Pittsford and bask in the glow of yellow and red leaves. Bonus points for your photo if you include a lick of Pittsford Dairy ice cream or a hot beverage from Artisan Gelato & Espresso.
