Meet the Teacher
Lindsay McGrail, chef and owner of Green Zebra, has been enamored with cooking since childhood, learning from her mother's culinary skills. Her passion led her to The Institute for Culinary Education in Manhattan, where she honed her craft and later cooked for celebrities and high-profile events. After returning to Rochester, Lindsay established Green Zebra in 2007, inspired by her favorite heirloom tomato and driven by the local abundance of quality produce. At Green Zebra, Lindsay's love for food, entertaining, and creating delightful culinary experiences is evident in every dish she prepares.
Green Zebra Catering opened as a one-woman operation in 2007 and has transformed into a multi-use catering, teaching, and intimate event space at 609 Culver Road. Green Zebra delights in the chance to teach you their favorite dishes and share their table, with a focus on seasonal ingredients.
