Learn to create awesome art using different types of glass. Your design is placed in a kiln to be melted (fused) at 1500 degrees! Art work is available for pick up the week after class.
Please note: This class is for ages 12-14. Adults may attend with permission of their kids. Please bring safety glasses or purchase from the studio ($5). Please wear closed toed shoes.
This class will take place at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building under the awning labeled #34. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.
About the teacher:
Marilynne Lipshutz is the executive director of Studio34 Creative Arts Center, located in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts for more than 16 years. Marilynne retired as a psychotherapist and took up glass blowing, glass fusing, and casting as a hobby which grew into a successful teaching studio, now home to 28 local faculty and visiting artists from around the globe.
