Imagine it's a sunny spring morning … daffodils blooming, songbirds chirping, and the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls wafting through your home. In this class, we will bake a longtime family favorite, walking through the techniques from beginning to end.
Please note: Students should preheat their ovens to 425°F at the beginning of class and pre-measure ingredients ahead of time.
- 8 Tbsp. butter
- ¾ c. packed brown sugar
- 6 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
-⅛ tsp. ground cloves (optional)
- ½+⅛ tsp. salt
- 2 ½ c. all purpose flour + extra for your workspace
- 1 ¼ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- 1 ¼ c. buttermilk (or milk + 1 ¼ tsp. of white vinegar or lemon juice)
- 2 Tbsp. cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 c. confectioners sugar

- 9’ round pan

This class is appropriate for all ages, although anyone under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

About the teacher:
Bobbie Gluck's love for baking was inspired originally by a Greek bakeshop in her hometown of Plattsburgh. She traveled Europe as a young woman, studying in Salamanca, Spain, exploring the flavors of bakeries in Spain, France, Italy, and more. She baked professionally for twenty five years in a small town bakery. Bobbie now enjoys raising her children, flower farming, baking for pleasure for family and friends, and spending time in creative pursuits at her farmhouse on the westside of Rochester.
