Using ancient techniques in a state of the art modern glass shop, students will learn to create their own unique sculptural glass. Most students will complete three projects in class which will then be kiln fired and available for pick up the week after class.
Please note: Masks are required for both vaccinated and unvaccinated students at Studio 34. Closed toe shoes must be worn. No experience necessary. Glass and eye protection included. Projects will be kiln fired and available for pick up the day after class.
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.
This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

About the teacher:
Marilynne Lipshutz is the executive director of Studio 34 Creative Arts Center, located in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts for more than 20 years. Marilynne retired as a psychotherapist and took up glass blowing, glass fusing, and casting as a hobby which grew into a successful teaching studio, now home to 28 local faculty and visiting artists from around the globe.
