Paper marbling has been around for over 1,000 years, and the beauty of the art has not slowed down. Using a variety of colors and techniques that have been honed for decades, create your own hand-marbled papers. Each print turns out unique, and you can use your beautifully printed sheets as stationary or book covers and endpapers for bookbinding.Age:This class is appropriate for all ages, although anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please purchase one ticket for each person attending.Location:This class will take place at Kali Ann Art Studio, located on the fourth floor of the historic Hungerford Building at 1115 E. Main St, Suite 416, Rochester, NY 14609. Please enter through Door #2 to access the stairs or elevator to the fourth floor. Take a right out of the elevator and follow the hallway to the studio.Accessibility:If you would like to request a sign language interpreter or will be attending class with an aide, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc). An accessible ramp is located at Door 3. Once inside Door 3, an elevator is available to access the studio.About the teacher:Ashley Rehler is a graphic designer, printmaker, and marbling artist from Rochester, NY. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY Oswego and is the owner of Ashtetic art classes. Ashley started teaching at Rochester Brainery in 2015 and has since taught over 500 students the art of Woodblock Printing and Paper Marbling.
