Terms & Conditions and Service

All Brainery class tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, illness, or personal emergencies.

Brainery classes are ticketed, event-based experiences. As is standard across the event and workshop industry, instructors are compensated and venues are reserved based on tickets sold, not attendance. This policy allows us to fairly compensate our instructors, cover material costs, and pay our venue partners.

It is your responsibility to know the date, time, location and any other pertinent information regarding your class.

Transfers
A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the class are not guaranteed.

Substitutions
If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to send someone in your place at no additional cost.

Cancellations by Brainery
In the rare event that Brainery must cancel a class, registrants will be offered either:

  • A transfer into a future class of equal value, or
  • A refund, as required by applicable New York State law.

By purchasing a ticket, customers acknowledge and agree to this policy at the time of sale.

A Nod To 2021: Our Year In Review

Written by Danielle Raymo

Here we find ourselves on the brink of 2022 and one of our favorite yearly moments, our end-of-the-year review.

If you've read these little love notes in the past you've heard me say it before: we simply wouldn't be here without you (and I'll keep saying it because it is absolutely true). It's why I always like to share these reviews; so you can see the impact you have not only our business, but our many teachers, many venues, and Pencils and Paper, who we’ll continue to partner with in the new year (but more on that soon). And while we haven't quite gotten past the difficulty the pandemic has thrown at us (and you know, the world), we are still here thanks to this incredible community we call home.

So, let’s raise a glass (we would suggest a seasonal Katboocha brew or Living Roots wine 😉), and give one final nod to 2021. Without further ado, here is our year in review.
