Brain Music Episode 1: Will Cornfield

Brain Music Header

There's no doubt that finding the perfect playlist can motivate and inspire you. Whether it's finishing the last mile of your run, tackling that laundry you've been putting off, or getting you through your workday, tunes can change everything. So let's motivate and inspire each other, shall we?

This week we're debuting a new monthly series we're calling Brain Music: a selection of songs curated by a different member of the Rochester community that we hope we will inspire you the same way it inspires its curator.

Our first playlist has been provided by photographer, soccer player and barista, Will Cornfield. Without further ado, Brain Music Episode 1:

My schedule is pretty packed, so it's hard for me to get out and create often. Music helps me to find the inspiration to make it happen.

I usually make one playlist a month of stuff that is inspiring me, and I tend to pick music based on how I'm feeling at the time. Sometimes I get bored with my normal photography so when I make a playlist full of music and musicians that are pushing sounds to another level and creating new things, this inspires me to do the same. To get out and create art with the photos I take.

Checked it out! Really good taste, man! I would also recommend some James Blake, too. I also noticed this is all male! So, for the sake of equality, I’m thinking of some Lianne La Havas, Corinne Bailey Rae, MØ. Good times.

Found your Spotify page, but no playlists were listed. Is Will’s up there somewhere? I was not using a Spotify app, got there through regular computer. Don’t know if that makes a difference. Thanks for your help!
