Brain Music Episode 4: Jacalyn Meyvis

There's no doubt that finding the perfect playlist can motivate and inspire you. Whether it's finishing the last mile of your run, tackling that laundry you've been putting off, or getting you through your workday, tunes can change everything. So let's motivate and inspire each other, shall we?

This is Brain Music: a selection of songs curated monthly by different members of the Rochester community that we hope will inspire you the same way it inspires its curator.

This month we're featuring local photographer (you'll find her photos on our blog here, here, and here) and marketing and event coordinator, Jacalyn Meyvis. Let's see what inspires her... Without further ado, Brain Music Episode 4:

Jacalyn Meyvis Intro

Hi I’m Jacalyn Meyvis! I am a marketing and event coordinator at Agathi & Co. and a photographer. I was featured in Rochester Brainery’s Roc Girl Gang Gallery as I am one of the photographers for the blog! Oh yeah, I also used to volunteer at Rochester Brainery! Recently, I’ve incorporated a baby blue Volkswagon van, grandma’s old couch and a rad knit poncho (thanks Jane Vintage!) into my photoshoots.

As you might guess, the 1970s are the inspiration for my photos. What better way to prep for a shoot than to listen to a little Lynyrd Skynyrd? I find this decade of music to be a serious mood booster and is my go-to! This is a segment of my personal 70s playlist of which I add to regularly. Let me know if I am missing any of your favorites!
