Learn how to decorate cakes like a pro! In this basic decorating class, you'll learn the proper way to fill a cake, as well as the best way to frost the cake (buttercream, of course!) and several different ways to decorate the finished product. At the end of class, you leave with a fully decorated cake and the knowledge of how to do for future occasions!
Please note: Please choose ticket and cake type from the drop down menus above. The Ticket for Two option allows for two students to work together on ONE cake. If your ticket and/or cake type is not available, please contact us as an adjustment may be possible.
This class is appropriate for ages 8+, although anyone under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter or will be attending class with an aide, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc).

Meet the Teacher
Molly Hartley is an accomplished pastry chef with years of professional culinary experience. Together with a friend, she created Scratch Bakeshop, a local boutique bakery, located on Russell Street in Rochester, NY.
Green Zebra Catering opened as a one-woman operation in 2007 and has transformed into a multi-use catering, teaching, and intimate event space at 609 Culver Road. Green Zebra delights in the chance to teach you their favorite dishes and share their table, with a focus on seasonal ingredients.
