The Rochester Arc + Flame Center’s Glass Bead Sampler is the perfect opportunity to explore the art of glass beadmaking or refine your existing skills. Working with soft glass and flame, you’ll learn essential techniques such as lighting and adjusting the torch, stretching, gathering, cutting, and fusing glass rods into stunning, one-of-a-kind designs. Each student will create at least five handmade beads, which will be added to a beautiful keepsake piece. Experiment with a wide variety of colors, textures, and patterns, and watch your creativity come to life in glowing glass. Guided by our experienced instructors, you’ll enjoy a blend of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice—making this class a fun and rewarding experience for both beginners and experienced flame workers alike!
Please note: All safety equipment, tools, and glass materials are included. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup 1 week after class to ensure safe annealing.
