Learn the art of welding! Through a combination of classroom and hands-on lab instruction, you'll gain an understanding of safety, equipment setup, and welding technique on steel. While the focus of this class is to inspire students to create sculptures out of steel using MIG and plasma cutting processes, students are encouraged to let their imaginations run! Previous students have made small lawn sculptures, coat racks, clocks, animals, mirrors, and even candle holders.
Please note: All safety equipment and welding materials are included in the course price. Great for beginners and experienced welders.
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.
This class will take place at Arc + Flame Center, located at 125 Fedex Way, Rochester, NY 14624.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, will be attending class with an aide, or have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc), please fill out our contact form.
Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason. A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date. Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place, too!
While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!
