Along the way, you’ll tackle timeless French techniques and whip up a rich, velvety au poivre sauce that’s sure to impress. Whether you’re planning a fun night out or celebrating Valentine’s Day in delicious style, this brand-new class is the perfect recipe for a memorable evening. Come hungry for fun, flavor, and a little French flair!
Please note: Each ticket admits two participants. Please bring an apron to class with you or wear clothes you don't mind cooking in.
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.
This class will take place at The Commissary, located at 250 E Main St, Rochester, NY 14604.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, will be attending class with an aide, or have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc), please fill out our contact form.
Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason. A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date. Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place, too!
While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!

Christin Ortiz has been working in restaurants since she was 19. Most recently Christin ran the food program at Joe Bean Roastery, where she focused the menu on her Latin-American heritage. She loves sharing her passion for food, and wants everyone to be able to cook the food they crave!
The Commissary is a collaborative community, providing shared kitchens combined with food industry specific business assistance to help aspiring entrepreneurs build great food companies, create jobs, and strengthen our regional food economy.
