One of the best ways to warm up and relax is with a winter cocktail. Whether you crave something tropical to fend off the cool air, a warming whiskey, or an immunity-boosting variation on a hot toddy, check out these tasty winter drink from Black Button Distilling, Nox Cocktail, and Iron Smoke Distillery's Katboocha cocktails.
The Forester, by Iron Smoke Distillery
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz Maple Bacon Whiskey
- Top with Maple Katboocha
- Orange peel garnish
Combine in a pint glass with a heavy pour of Katboocha and garnish with an orange peel.
Tiki Time by Iron Smoke Distillery
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Iron Smoke Bourbon
- .5 oz lime juice
- .5 oz pineapple
- .5 oz orange juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 3 dashes Angustora aromatic bitters
Shake with ice in a shaker. Pour into collins or tiki glass and top with tiki rose Katboocha. Garnish with a lime peel and umbrella.
Maple Chai Latte by Black Button Distilling
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Coffee Liqueur
- 1.5 oz Black Button Bourbon Cream
- .5 oz Chai Simple Syrup*
- .5 oz Maple Syrup
Shake with ice and dump into rocks glass.
*To Make Chai Simple Syrup: Steep chai tea bags in equal parts sugar and water overnight. Shake with ice, and enjoy.
Cold Elixir by Black Button Distilling
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Four-Grain Bourbon
- 1 oz Apple Pie Moonshine
- 1 oz lemon juice
- .5 oz ginger juice
- .5 oz honey syrup
- 1 dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 cinnamon stick
Measure into a glass and top with hot water.
Hobbit on Holiday by Nox Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Zaya Twelve Year rum
- 1 oz Blackwell
- .5 oz Allspice Dram
- .25 oz Velvet Falernum
- 1 oz Orgeat
- 1 oz Pineapple
- .5 oz Lime
Shake and Strain into a Collins glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
Dissendium by Nox Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Monkey Shoulder Scotch
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz Cointreau or other Orange Liqueur
- .5 oz Honey Syrup
- 2 Dashes Fee Bro's Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Stir in glass pitcher, then double strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
