Discover how heat, gravity, and design come together in this exploratory glass class. Working with cold glass, you’ll design and assemble two distinctive bowls: a wave bowl and a bubble dish. You’ll experiment with bars, rods, and stacked layers while learning to safely cut, shape, and assemble glass using specialized tools. Once your projects are prepared, they’ll be fired in the kiln—where heat and time complete the transformation—and will be ready for pickup about two weeks later.
Please note: Safety glasses will be provided during class. Closed-toe shoes and full-length pants are required. Water in closed containers is allowed at your workspace; however, food is not permitted.
