Feeling the pull of spring? Get your hands in the soil as you design a fresh, early-season container perfect for a front entry or patio. You’ll build an outdoor arrangement featuring a thoughtful mix of perennials, annuals, pussy willow, and select faux stems, finished with vibrant wheatgrass for an instant pop of life. Designed to handle mid-April temperatures, the included 12-inch urn is a beautiful addition to your outdoor spring home decor! Along the way, we’ll explore the plants used and share tips on which elements can be reused as the season unfolds.
Please note: In the drop-down menu, please select if you would like to purchase a black, plastic urn-style pot or if you would like to bring your own urn to class. If you are bringing your own urn, it must be between 10"-12" wide. Although not required, consider bringing lightweight gardening gloves to enhance your class experience. Although not required, consider bringing a pair of rubber gloves since students will be working with wet moss. The greenhouses can feel very warm on sunny days and chilly on cloudy ones; we recommend dressing in layers that can be easily adjusted for comfort.
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.
This class will take place at Creative Gardens, located at 1965 Watson Hulbert Rd, Macedon, NY 14450. The greenhouse is on the Macedon-Fairport border and may show up as Fairport on a GPS.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, will be attending class with an aide, or have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc), please fill out our contact form.
Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason. A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date. Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place, too!
While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!
