The Rochester Arc + Flame Center’s Glass Flame Workshop is the perfect way to express your creativity through the mesmerizing art of glass. Working with borosilicate glass and flame, you’ll learn essential skills such as lighting and adjusting the torch, stretching, gathering, cutting, and fusing boro glass rods into stunning designs. With a wide range of colors to choose from, you’ll have the freedom to experiment and create truly unique pieces.
Each student can craft up to five glass creations, including a teardrop, heart, and leaf. Our experienced instructors combine lecture, demonstration, and guided hands-on practice to make the learning process fun, safe, and engaging, ideal for both beginners and experienced flame workers alike.
Please note: All safety equipment, tools, and glass materials are included. Breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup within 1 week after class to ensure safe annealing and avoid damage. Please contact us at least 72 hours in advance with any dietary allergies or restrictions. Students are permitted to bring their own lunch and snacks if they prefer.
