Slow down, tune in, and give your mind and body a reset in this 90-minute session exploring mindfulness, meditation, and gentle movement. Practice simple, accessible techniques that weave together breath, awareness, and intentional movement to help you reconnect with your body and inner landscape. This supportive, judgment-free space welcomes curiosity over experience; perfect for beginners or anyone returning to meditation. You’ll leave with practical tools for cultivating presence, ease, and clarity in everyday life, along with resources and guidance to continue your practice at home.
Please note: Wear comfortable clothing and bring water, along with a notebook and pen if you’d like to take notes or reflect during class. The group tuning portion can be experienced either on a yoga mat or seated in a chair. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in before we begin.
This class is appropriate for ages 21+.
This class will take place at The Assisi Institute, located at 1400 N Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14609. Please park in The Assisi Institute main entrance parking lot, opposite the intersection of Hurstbourne Rd. From the main entrance, take an immediate left into The Assisi Institute’s main lot, directly in front of the building. You will see a purple Yoga banner.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, will be attending class with an aide, or have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc), please fill out our contact form.
Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason. A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date. Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place, too!
While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!

Meet the Teacher
Lori Lefkowitz, a member of the Assisi Yoga community, has spent over two decades exploring movement and energy as pathways for healing and transformation. Her journey began during her experience with breast cancer, inspiring her to study Qi Gong, Yoga, Reiki, Dynamic Stillness, and meditation. After the sudden loss of her husband, she deepened her meditation practice and committed to contemplative study. With more than 30 years of experience as an educator—particularly supporting children with learning and reading challenges—Lori now shares integrative practices that combine mindfulness, gentle movement, and embodied awareness.
