Terms & Conditions and Service

All Brainery class tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, illness, or personal emergencies.

Brainery classes are ticketed, event-based experiences. As is standard across the event and workshop industry, instructors are compensated and venues are reserved based on tickets sold, not attendance. This policy allows us to fairly compensate our instructors, cover material costs, and pay our venue partners.

It is your responsibility to know the date, time, location and any other pertinent information regarding your class.

Transfers
A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the class are not guaranteed.

Substitutions
If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to send someone in your place at no additional cost.

Cancellations by Brainery
In the rare event that Brainery must cancel a class, registrants will be offered either:

  • A transfer into a future class of equal value, or
  • A refund, as required by applicable New York State law.

By purchasing a ticket, customers acknowledge and agree to this policy at the time of sale.

A Toast To 2020: Our Year In Review

Written by Danielle Raymo

Well 2020, you were really something.

When I started Rochester Brainery over seven years ago, never did I think that a future pandemic would be the greatest challenge to the biz. Luckily, over those same years, we seemed to have surrounded ourselves with the most amazing community of teachers, students, advocates, and beyond. The way you have rallied behind small businesses this year, like during the fundraiser The Botanist and Ritual Clay Co. organized for us over the summer, won't be forgotten. Thank you. There's still a long road ahead and 2021 won't be a breeze. But we are thankful that you're on this journey with us and we'll cheers to that.

Without further ado, here is our 2020 in review.
