Wednesday, August 9th | 6:00PM-9:00PM | Introduction to Tapestry Weaving

Learn the basics of tapestry weaving with a simple lesson on basket or plain weave and an emphasis on texture, fringe, and pattern. Class will begin with a demonstration on how to create different patterns, then students will have the rest of class to work on and finish their unique wall hanging!

Please note: This is not an introduction to European Tapestry woven prior to the twentieth century.

This class is appropriate for ages 18+.

This class will take place at Figgy Studio & Shop, located at 251 Park Ave, Rochester NY 14607.

Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc). Classes will take place on the 2nd Floor of Figgy Studio & Shop which is only accessible by stairs.

About the teacher:
Courtney Craig is a surface designer who enjoys the studio environment and creating custom textiles for interior spaces. Elements of vintage, contemporary, and traditional design are her favorites to explore. Courtney is currently living in Rochester and being inspired every day from the local artisan community.
