Terms & Conditions and Service

All Rochester Brainery class tickets are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, illness, or personal emergencies.

Transfers
A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start time. Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the class are not guaranteed.

Substitutions
If you are unable to attend, you are always welcome to send someone in your place at no additional cost.

Cancellations by Brainery
In the rare event that Brainery must cancel a class, registrants will be offered either:

  • A transfer into a future class of equal value, or
  • A refund, as required by applicable New York State law.

It is your responsibility to know the date, time, location and any other pertinent information regarding your class. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to this policy at the time of sale.

Meet the Teachers

Kyle, Terry, and Jacob are Rochester-based ceramic artists and educators. Kyle holds an MFA from RIT, has taught ceramics at several universities, and was named a Ceramics Monthly 2025 Emerging Artist. Terry is a former artist-in-residence at Flower City Arts Center, where he has taught ceramics for several years while developing his own studio practice. Jacob holds a ceramics degree from RIT and has taught at the Memorial Art Gallery, RIT, and Flower City Arts Center, where they also support kiln firings, glaze preparation, and studio operations.

About the Venue

Laurentide Clay is a welcoming ceramics studio, classroom, and gallery located in Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts. Founded by local clay enthusiasts, Laurentide celebrates Western New York’s rich ceramics tradition while creating a home for artists, makers, and the community to learn and create together. Whether you’re new to clay or an experienced maker, Laurentide offers an inspiring, hands-on setting to explore your creativity.
