Caregivers and little ones can move, connect, and play together in this playful introduction to yoga. Through stories, music, and imagination, participants will explore mindful movement with plenty of stretching, breathing, wiggling, and giggling. Activities encourage confidence, curiosity, and kindness while creating opportunities for caregivers and children to connect with one another. This class is best suited for children ages 2-4 attending with a caregiver, and no prior yoga experience is needed.
Please note: This is a 4-session class. Children and caregivers must attend October 1, October 8, October 15, and October 22nd from 5:00pm-5:45pm. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water, along with a notebook and pen if you’d like to take notes or reflect during class. The group tuning portion can be experienced either on a yoga mat or seated in a chair. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in before we begin.
This class is appropriate for ages 2+, although anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
This class will take place at The Assisi Institute, located at 1400 N Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14609. Please park in The Assisi Institute main entrance parking lot, opposite the intersection of Hurstbourne Rd. From the main entrance, take an immediate left into The Assisi Institute’s main lot, directly in front of the building.
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, will be attending class with an aide, or have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc), please fill out our contact form.
Class ticket purchases are non-refundable for any reason. A transfer into a different class of equal or greater value may be granted if requested at least 72 hours prior to the class date. Students are always welcome to have someone attend in their place, too!
While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!
