Explore the symbolism of the traditional red-and-white-themed Christmas against the backdrop of traditional Siberian lore. Early myth surrounding the Yule season involved use of the amanita mushroom, with its iconic red and white cap as a tool for female shamans around the time of Yule to engage in "flight.โ This also set the foundation for the now familiar red and white garb of Father Christmas, following a shift in the narrative from female-associated shapeshifting to paternal male associations.
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.
This class will be held at Living Roots Wine & Co., located at 1255 University Avenue, Rochester, New York 14607.

While we know this is not always ideal, as a small business this is the only way we can ensure our teachers are paid for their time and supplies and our venues are paid rent for their space. We appreciate your support!
